Homeschooling 30th April

Good morning!

This week Thursday turns to Friday because TOMORROW IS DAY OFF!! This long weekend I was supposed to be out for camping with my family. So today's song is one of the songs I usually listen to when I drive long distances, it's the typical song we sing out loud and cheers us up. 

We can't go on a trip, but we can still enjoying this long weekend. Try to do your best to have fun.

If you have time, you can enjoy an audiobook, for example. Or you can also work on Hostos Saga and sent your writing to Ryan. 

As you all know, we are starting a new project. Today I'm going to explain the final project, but before it comes, we will talk about many things. This project is focused on inventions; we'll talk about matter and properties of matter, we’ll talk as well about simple and complex machines, we’ll talk about inventions and inventors, and, finally, each of you will have to come up with your own invention. You need to think about something you think can make our lives easier, what it’s needed for making it, and how to make it. If it’s possible, you can make it, if not, with a model will be perfect.

This is a big deal, we have to become true inventors!! Just as the children you can see in this video:

COMPULSORY TASKS ENGLISH:

To become a true inventor I think we need to understand better their point of view. The task today consists of watching these videos:

- The invention of the PENCIL
- The invention of the X-RAY
- The invention of the PAPER

Then, choose one of them and write your opinion about it (at least 100 words). Explain how you think life was before it appeared, how life changed after it showed up, and how people use it nowadays. it's just your opinion, you don't have to look for information to do this activity. To do this, go to your Drive folder and full fill the chart in the document called "Chosen invention". Take care of your grammar and spelling please. 4ºB_ carpeta Drive

VOLUNTARY WORK:

1. Take a look to Pablo Fernández's presentation about one invention.


2. Record a video explaining which is your favourite invention in your home, tell us why it's your favourite one and think how your life would be without it.
